Employee app with face-verified check-in and leave requests.

Challenge
Over 5,000 employees check in and handle HR requests here, some from sites with no signal, such as mines and oil platforms. The app was hard to change, and some check-ins weren’t made by the right person.
Approach
I refactored it to clean architecture with BLoC and moved routing from Navigator 1.0 to go_router, with deep links from push notifications. I added AWS Face Liveness verification through custom platform channels in Swift and Kotlin, and an offline mode that keeps check-ins on the phone until it’s back online.
Result
50% fewer fraudulent or wrong check-ins, 70% fewer crashes and 25% faster loads. About 10% of employees check in offline, and a new module handles ID and proof-of-address documents.
